Excerpts In Terror

    Steve Miner

Steve Miner Photo   Birthdate: 18 Jun 1951
    Birthplace: Westport, Connecticut, US

Miner's film credits include direction of BIG BULLY, FOREVER YOUNG (featuring Jamie Lee Curtis), the horror flick WARLOCK, the Disney film WILD HEARTS CAN'T BE BROKEN, SOUL MAN, and the horror favorites HOUSE, FRIDAY THE 13th PART 2, and FRIDAY THE 13th PART 3-D. He's worked on tv, too, directing episodes of CHICAGO HOPE and THE WONDER YEARS.

It seems most people who have acted for Miner find him a very easy director to work for. Amy Steel, star of FRIDAY THE 13th PART 2, describes him as a perfect gentleman to Fangoria magazine. Russell Todd, who played Scott in FRIDAY THE 13th PART 2 told interviewer Matt Dennis, "Steve Miner directed this one and he's now gone on to directing major films and tv shows. I remember him as being a really great guy and easy to work with. Very giving and enjoyed working with us, which made it easier for all concerned." Larry Zerner, star of FRIDAY THE 13th PART 3, agrees, "Steve Miner, the director, had directed Part II and seemed to know what he wanted. He went on to direct a number of other films and won a DGA award for his work on THE WONDER YEARS.".
