The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD is slightly soft and hazy, with occasional smearing, though images can appear sharp at times. Colors are slightly weak, noticeable in black level. Some scenes appear overly contrasted, and images tend to get lost in the darker scenes. Overall, the picture looks dated, and lacks detail and dimension. Fine film grain and source element artifacts are noticed, but are not too bothersome. The Dolby® Digital 2.0 soundtrack is big fat mono. When ProLogic®-decoded, the audio is properly placed in the center channel. The sonic character is somewhat muted, and some distortion can be noticed. Background noise is reasonably low. The poor recording quality means that voices don't sound very natural.

The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits good quality, with generally sharp and detailed images that tend to fly at the camera due to the film being shot in 3-D. Sometimes this 2-D video picture has a soft, smeared quality. Contrast and shadow delineation are mediocre, lacking visual information in the darker scenes. The picture looks a bit dated, with colors that are just shy of full saturation...evident in the slightly weak black levels. Minor pixelization is noticed, but is not terribly distracting. Minor source element dirt and artifacts are apparent. The Dolby® Digital 2.0 soundtrack is big fat mono. When ProLogic®-decoded, the audio is properly placed in the center channel. The sound is loud, occasionally strident and over-emphasized in the mid-bass with poor low-end extension. Distortion is prevalent throughout, and low level background hiss is noticeable.
