Quotes:
|
-
Narrator: At the beginning of the 21 century, the Umbrella Corporation had become the largest commercial entity in the United States. Nine out of every ten homes contain its products. Its political and financial influence is felt everywhere. In public, it is the world's leading supplier of computer technology, medical products, and healthcare. Unknown, even to its own employees, its massive profits are generated by military technology, genetic experimentation and viral weaponry.

[After seeing the Licker for the first time]
Matt: What the f**k was that?!
-
[Rain and J.D. have just fought off a zombie]
J.D.: I shot her five times! How was she still standing?
Rain: Bitch isn't standin' now.
-
Rain: She bit me man, she took a chunk clean right outta me!"
-
Alice: I'm missing you already!

Trivia:
|
- Alice's "supposed" husband is named Spencer. In the first Resident Evil game, the mansion it took place in was called "Spencer Estate".
- This film was originally titled "Resident Evil:Ground Zero," but the title was changed to just "Resident Evil" after the September 11 attacks.
- Director George A. Romero was originally attached to write and direct, but left the project due to creative differences over the script.
- On the front of the Umbrella train to the Hive. It reads 'Alexi-3000' Alexia is the name of one of the heads of Umbrella in Biohazard: Code Veronica.
- The plot has several similarities with the movie Ghosts of Mars: the main characters are strong, fighting women; the good guys are in an isolated environment surrounded by zombies; they make their escape on a train chased by the monsters; both movies end with the zombies breaking loose, with the female lead starting to fight them back.

- Near the end of the credits, we hear a line of dialogue from Michelle Rodriguez: "When we get out of here, I think I'm gonna get laid."
